Videography
Recently I have been exploring the potential with my work for video. Contrary to most videos that tends to distract with fast moving images withing my work the camera remains still, The frame can be tight cropped but the audio field recording alludes the activities that take place out of shot.
These landscape videos, explore the world around use and reflect on our place within it, they are my take on landscape painting.
Before the Harvest
The day before the harvest was stopped due to heavy rain, the next day the sun dries the wheat before the harvest can restart. In this rest bite, the sound of the popping and crackling wheat can be heard over the industrial sounds of industrial farming.
Harvest Time
Colours and sounds of harvest time, as the grass blows in the wind and the combine harvesters and tractors go about their business to bringing in the Barley.
The Ebbing Tide
Beneath a grey sky, on a ordinary day, the tide of the sea relentlessly comes in and out. The normality of the scene helps calm the mind and allow one to focus on the restful rhythms of the ocean.
